SETTLEMENT OF STRIKE (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 18th February, 11 a.m.) PERTH, This Day. Western Australian goldmining companies have accepted the ministry’s proposals for a settlement of the dispute, which caused the mines to be idle for six weeks. Work will be resumed immediately. Within six weeks the miners will decide by ballot whether they faVour a fortnight with 40 hours one week and 48 hours the next, or a 44 hour Week; Miners at a mass meeting decided in" favoui of resumption on this basis.
