The Ontario having signalled after dinner last night that she is on the correct bearing, 11.M.A.5. Australia left the Seth Parker after air exchange of farewell messages. We are now steaming for Balboa under thirteen knots in the necessity for husbanding fuel. Incidentally, the Australia, will have been at sea. twenty-five days continuously which is probably a record for the navy since the war. In consequence of the time lost it has been decided to omit calls at Bahamas and Bermuda. The Duke of Gloucester will be in Jamaica on 6th March to 16th March, arriving at Portsmouth on 28th March. It is Imped that official calls at Balboa on the morning of 4th March will be comnleted in time to permit the Duke to fly to Gatun Lock, rejoining the cruiser the same day.
