CONTINENTAL ALLEGATIONS DENIED (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 10th February. “Fiddlesticks,” writes the “Daily Mail’s” city editor in connection with the Continental allegation that a Stavisky scandal was developing in England. He adds that the question whether important hank directors should‘be debarred from holding other directorships is one matter, hut it is ridiculous to suggest that hanks are cornering food. Shellac is not a breakfast commodity, while the rise in pepper is not the cause of the (id increase in householders’ expenditure in the course of the year.
