HIS ANNUAL “FLING”

London hides many strange stories, but none stranger than that ot the man who is a gentleman of leisure for one day in the year only. Every year on a certain date, a well-dressed man occupies a. room :it a fashionable West End hotel, lie is obviously a man of means, lie eats and drinks at the best placps, strolls leisurely like one who ha& no work or worries, and visits tho theatre after dinner at his expensive hotel. In .the morning he pays his bill and leaves the hotel. And he is not seen there again until- exactly a year has passed. Then he reappears and enjoys the same routine, as if yesteryear had been but yesterday. On the other days of tho year lie is a provincial town navvy!
