Iloogs. champion of Hawii, defeated Thompson (Queensland) in the opening singles match at the annual mid-Pacific tennis tourney, 1-6, 6-2, 6-4. The second match was stopped by darkness after Turnbull (Australia) and Stesua Nakano (Hawii) had each taken a set, Turnbull the first, 6-2 and Nakano the second 7-5. The deciding set will be played tomorrow.
TURNBULL DEFEATS NAKANO HONOLULU, 28th March. Turnbull to-day defeated Nakano, 0-7, completing Friday’s tennis match. DAVIS CUP ARGENTINE - ELIMINATE PARAGUAY NEW YORK, 27th March. A message from Asunscion states that in the first round of the Davis Cup tie in the South American zone, Argentine eliminated Paraguay by three matches to one, winning doubles to-day.
