As compared with last week's quotations. North Island Down lamb and best North Island crossbred lamb is l-8d per lb lower. North Island second quality is l-8d per lb higher. Best Nortli "Island wethers, under 48Ibs £d per lb lower, 48/56 and 56/64 3-8 d per lb lower. North Island ewes, under 641bs £<l per lb lower, 64/72 id per lb lower. The spot market for lamb is weaker, particularly heavy weights, the apparent accumulations influencing the situation. The mutton market is weaker with continued reductions in prices.
