GERMANY AND THE YOUNG PLAN

Dr. Schacht's resignation of the presidency of the Reichsbank followed a heated discussion with his fellow directors, in which he asserted that the Young Plan was unbearable to Germany. He voiced distrust of the Government's financial policy. The news spread like wildfire in the city and caused consternation on the Bourse. Several important stocks fell 12 to 15 points. GERMANY'S LOST COLONIES BERLIN, Bth March, During the Reichstag debate on The Hague liquidation agreement, Herr Heinrich Schnee, of the People's Party and" ex-governor of German East Africa said the agreements with Australia and New Zealand were most unfavourable to Germany. They were robbery perpetrated by England in association with the dominions. The procedure reminded him of the man who stole a purse and then said to the victim "Let us now be friends."
