Viscount liyng's initial act as Police Commissioner was to declare war on Loudon night clubs: The "Daily Express" understands that Viscount Byng expressed amazement at the looseness prevailing. It is significant that many night clubs where drinking and. gambling continued fill daybreak have already suddenly closed.
