DISTURBANCE AT LYTTELTON
FIREMEN, SENT TO GAOL (By Telegraph—Press Association) CHRIST/CHURCH, This Day. As a sequel to the disturbance in Bytfelton on Saturday firemen appeared in Court today—Philip Hock, William Reylands, John Henry Harris, and John James Porter. For assaulting a constable, Hock was sentenced to one month's gaol. For obstructing the police, Reylands got three months' gaol. For lighting with a person unknown, resisting arrest, and assaulting a constable, Harris was sentenced to three months' gaol. For' assaulting a constable John James Porter, also a fireman, was sentenced to three' months' gaol.
