ENGINE COLLIDES WITH TRUCK (By Telegraph.—Press Association,- ~./ AUCKLAND, 11th August.: Abou£ 9 a.m. to-day an engine from a suburban train was returning to the city engine sheds while a rake of trucks was being shunted from. another line towards the goods yards. On each engine the display of the green flag at. a crossing was taken to mean that the line was clear. The engine hit the leading wagon. There was a crashing sound as the wagon and its load toppled oyer, and the heavy engine jumped the rails. The fireman on the colliding engine, jumped off the footplate as the smash occurred. The engine and two, wagons were damaged, and a long V wagon was. hurled off the track'and overturned. A second truck, had the couplings and draw-gear damaged. The permanent way was torn up, but the track was hot damaged.; ; '
