ROCK GARDEN SOCIETY
(To The Editor.)
Sir, —On the suggestion of Mr G. A. Green, Secretary of the :New Zealand Institute of Horticulture, I wish to bring before'your notice the work of the above Society. Twelve months ago it was necessary to discourage anyone seeking membership, because the work entailed was getting too big for me to undertake. But since then it &as been made possible to have a paid assistant during the coming autumn and winter, and so now we are wanting new members who will be the means of giving the necessary financial help and at the same time get all the benefits of our •Society. In a nutshell, we have to get ready about fifteen thousand plants for distribution to members during the coming autumn and winter, and therefore the Society want about fifty new members, which'will help in carrying out the work in hand. The subscription is 5/-. per annum for those not wanting any plants, or 20/- for those who partake in the free distribution of the wonderful collection we can send.—l am, etc.. A. WILKINSON.
