Kirwan, Davison, Gardiner, Brisbane, Hall, Menzies, Parkcs, Herring, .Mason, Thomas, Avery. Eight thousand were present. The New Zealanders' opportunism gave a comfortable halftime lead. Bielby opened the scoring for the home side, Osborne converting. Then Davison scored a magnificent try, Duftv adding a goal. Osborne kicked a penalty goal for Kingston and Thomas and Brown, playing with resourcefulness, notched a try each, Dufty kicking unerringly. In the second spell the New Zealanders' attack faded away. They were only dangerous once and were then pulled up for offside play. The home side, made a remarkable recovery. Brigham and Austin scored fries, Osborne goating one, equalizing the score. A desperate struggle ensued, the homo team attacking most vigorously and the Blacks defending magnificently. Tn the last minute Cook, By a, terrific effort broke through and Osborne added a goal.
