NELSON RUGBY UNION
MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
A meeting uf the Management Committee of the Nelson Rugby Union was held at the Union Room last evening. There were present: Messrs K. Boon (President!, Inwood (Vice-President), •Johnson', Paid, Blincoo, Edwards, Kemnitz, Watson, Logan, Benyon, Nightingale, Est court, Savage, and Thomas. Mr Searle was excused from attendance.
'The Rival Club protested against Board playing for Nelson last Saturday, he not having fulfilled the residential qualifications. It was decided to -inform the Rival Club that the Union is quite satisfied that all was in order and that the protest is dismissed, the deposit to be returned.
•F. Newloh-'Was classified senior for Nelson, subject to his clearance from his last dull; J. Lindstrum ns junior to same club; ,T. J. Chapman as junior player for the Wakatu Club. School footballs were granted the Kiwi and Wakefield schools.
Delegates of clubs were asked lo see that the fees of their clubs were paid, and also that the' receipt butts of financial players were sent into the secretary.
The secretary was instructed to ask the Police to assist Tri keeping the public outside the rails at all matches. -Messrs Boon and Kemnitz, with Mr Pahi, were elected delegates to the conference regarding the northern tour of players from the Seddon .Shield districts. The Duller and Wesland Union are to be written to re gate ,etc., of proposed tour of the Nelson team going south. A .seven-a-side bantam match is to be played during intervals of the representative match on 26th June.
A vote of thanks terminated the meeting.
