AUSTRALIAN MINERS STRIKE
SETTLEMENT REACHED
TERMS OF AGREEMENT

SYDNEY, June 14. The compulsory conference arrived at a settlement of the coal strike. SYDNEY, ’Puis Day. The terms of settlement of the coal strike which have to he ratified- by aggregate meetings of men are:—The employer to resume on the pre-strike basis; the owners to reinstate all employees presenting themselves for work and" all collieries to resume on the same day; owners to abandon legal proceedings .against the union and union officials. Mi' Hibble stated that if these terms are agreed to he will immediately summon, the Coal Tribunal to hear t'lie men’s claims. The owners agreed and the employees’ representatives stated they would place the terms before aggregate meeting of the men to-morrow (Wednesday), and report hack to the conference on Thursday.
The meetings are certain to ratify a settlement, terminating the strike wliieh has paralysed "the industry throughout the Commonwealth.
