Ever since he has been in Now Zealand and particularly'' Nelson, Mr Win. Burrows, of the City Council staff, has taken very lively interest in describing the attractions of Nelson, New Zealand in England. On many occasions we have seen long articles written by Mr Burrows in English papers. The latest are copies of the Colne and Nelson Times which contains articles by Mr Burrows entitled “Pen pictures of Nelson, —our sister boroughfroni many viewpoints.” It will be remembered Mr Burrows gave pen pictures of Nelson (England) and Nelson (British Columbia) which were published in these columns. The Colne and Nelson Times referring to this, makes several appreciative comments.
What the people of Mr Burrows’ home town do not know of Nelson is not worth knowing. thanks to his tnergy and the hearty co-operation of the Colne and Nelson Times.
Mr Burrows also sent a copy of the booklet “.Sunny Nelson" to the Northern Daily Telegraph (Blackburn) and after appreciativxe reference to Mr Burrows as a reader and contributor to tbc Telegraph for 20 years it also congratulates him on the choice of “Sunny Nelson” as his home. Of the booklet it says: “The pictures alone are enough to, ‘make your mouth press of its charms, its industrial and intellectual and educational activities inspire the belief that, exiles from England arc very lucky folk, ami not at all likely to come baek.”
