CLOTHING DISPUTE SETTLED

WELLINGTON, This Day. A complete settlement was effected before Conciliation Commissioner Newton in the Dominion clothing trade dispute,, mainly along the lines of the present award. Clauses lelcfang to hours and classification of workers are to remain as at present. No deduction is to be made from female apprentices 7 wages except for time lost through sickness or default. Journeywomen’s minimum wage was fixed at £2 4s; second-class chart cutters £4 7s 6d; stock cutters £4 4s; male machinists £4 4s or Is lid an hour. The term of the agreement is tor 12 months./
