Pastor Carpenter in his address tomorrow at the Church of Christ, Waimea street, will deal with matters of interest to Christians and 'citizens, . The evening address On “Liberty” is desigiaed to help all to appreciate liberty in its .true sense as one of our greatest possessions. Everybody will be ■welcome.
At St. John’s Methodist Church,’ the Rev. 11. L. Blamires will conduct the services. There will be' a’ Boys Scout parade 1 in the' Baptist Church, to-morrOw • at 11. Boys will parade in uniform. At the evening service the Rev. J. Laird will • give an address on “Why vote prohibition.”
The services at The Salvation Army will be conducted by Captain and Mrs Bridge- and] Lieut. Rankin. Captain Bridge will give an address at,.3 p.m., subject, “Do we need Prohibition.” At the song service at night the subject will be-' “How to. ing. There will be a special Scout, service to-morrow evening in All Saints’, Church, Vanguard Street, when there will he a parade and enrolment of the All Saints Scouts. Parents, are cordially invited to he, present. ffche Scouts will parade at 6 p.m. The Vicar will preach on “The programme of tha Kingdom." ' As a fitting close for the season of the after Church' community sing at the . V.M.G.A., Wakefield, the Churches are comhinig in due big united service, tomorrow (Sunday) evening. This no ’doubt will he a time of inspiration, a® meeting in such a way adds a great deal to the spirit of the services. The singing on tliis occasion wil he a great feature. The after-Church, sings for the past throe months have been an undaunted success, large crowds gathering every fortnight to join in the old favourite hymns.' .At the. United Service, the Rev. ■ Canon Dart will be preacher. A solo will 'be rendered by Mr G. Francois. The collection is to bn devoted to a worthy cause, that of the foreign work of the V.M.C.A in Hydrabad.
