UNREST IN FIJI
INDIANS RESUMING WORK (United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 22. The following telegram has been received by the Prime S Minister: “Major Puttinck, the | officer commanding the armed] force sent from New Zealand I to Fiji in connection with the | strike there, reports that the situation has considerably quietened flown since the 14th,. i when a small riot occurred. Then a few shots were fired in, support of the police, who were attacked with sticks, and 15 rioters were wounded. The Indians are resuming work and everything is quiet in all the districts.”
