(To the ■'Eiitor.J Sir, —A few of out go-ahead* citizens agreed' to guarantee the expenses of the above entertainments,. The musical items and the lectures are most excellent, und those wha have attended are loud in their praise. Now, I contend that persons, like myself, who are hot guarantors should amt alh w* the guarantors to be required to pay up any deficiency there may be, andi there is going to be a considerable deficiency unless the public purchase season tick- ( ets more freely than they have been doing. Although the are exceedingly vvelj, patronised, they are almost entirely 1 y day t.cket holders, and this does not help the guarantors in the least Wo have ict many among us wha are pntryJTsC enough, to take to themselves the responsibility of getting eompaives to come to\ Nelson, so it behoves us to do our share so that they may not suffer unduly for their generous efforts.
