CANADA AND JAPANESE
UNFRIENDLY ATTITUDE (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association).. VANCOUVER, Feb. 15. The Associated Boards of Trade of British Columbia passeel a resolution urging the Canadian Government to take immediate action to prevent the Japanese ownership of land in Canada. It is asserted that there is a larger proportion of Japanese in British Columbia than in California.
The Japanese Consul (Mr Ukita) said that many Japanese are naturalised Canadian citizens and cannot be prevented from owning land. He adder! that. Japanese capital would not be attracted to Canada if the public sentiment against the Japanese continues.
