(Dcite d Pr^a^asociction.) INVERCARGILL, Feb. 18. The first annual-sale..At Bainfield, Inwicf Jfill, ou beliMir of W. D. Hunt, was a huge success, there being keen competition and high prices throughout. Between £SOOO and £6OOO was paid for the draft stock offered. Top price for & stud Romney ram was 180 guineas, the high average of 6b guineas being maintained throijighput. Cattle were a, splendid lo.t' also, prices.of heifer calves, ranging to 127 guineas, and for, buff calves, 95 guineas. The fprjner average 70 guineas and the latter 47, Australian buyers, wepp successful, but the bulk of the stock was bought by Southland breeders.
