i The Caithness Courier of Slsi January says:—"A very pretty wedding was solemnised in the First U.F. Church, Castletown, on Thursday ol last week. The contracting par ies were Miss Jean llegg, elder- daughter ot Mr William liegg, and Eance-Corporai Veysey, ot me New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Crcat interest was taken in the ceremony, Hie wedding being the first one solemnised in the new U.F. Church, the service was beautiful and impressive, and the officiating clergy were the popular pastor of the congregation,, Rev. Mr Johnstone, assisted by Rev. Mr Monro, U.F. Church, Cunnei-. Mrs Johnstone ably presided at the organ, the church wa fl well tilled when Lancel orporal Veysey entered with his groomsman, Sergeant Cassidy, of the Anaacs, closely followed by the brule on her lather's arm, along with Miss Barrie Begg, a.q maid of honour. The congregation ’ joined hearMly in the praise, which opened with the hymn, “1 he voice that breathed o'er Eden.” The bride, who looked most charming in a becoming dress, was given away by her father, the whole service being an impressive and happy one, terminating wi hj the singing of ‘U Perfect Cove.' .As The happy young couple left the church they had to pass Through a guard of honour, composed of local service men on leave, a ’ litt’ng tribute to the soldier bridegroom, who has so well served his Ring and country, having liccn severely wounded in the war. The newly wedded leave for the bridegroom's home in Neb son, South Island, and they carry with them the beet wishes, for'their future happiness and prosperity of the people of the village and their many other friends.” ”
