WASHINGTON, Dec. 6. iMr Bruce Blielaska, continuing (his evidence before the Senate Committee, said that Bernstorff's message recommending Hale's selection mentioned! that eHaffit did not know Hale as a paid German agent. Professor- David Starr Jordan, of Leland Slanfoid University, protested against the inclusion of his name in Bernstorff's list of those favourable to Germany's cause. The only time lie ever communicated \vith Beinstorff was when h.e forwaided~~-an Australian lady's against the German atrocities.
