POSITION OF SCHOOL TEACHERS (United Press Association.) [ CHR.ISTCHU;ROH\ July 5. ■ The calling-up of male teachers and the maintenance of instruction in public schools was discussed by the Canterbury Education Board to-dny. Tt was resolved that, as the board had no difficulty in -filling vacancies caused by teachers going on active service, it should not appeal on behalf of any teachers.
