ENEMY ABANDONS SILISTRIA
FORTIFIED POSITION TAKEN UP. RUSSIANS BOMBARDING VARNA. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) BUCHAREST, Sept. 23. A communique reports minor engagements in Transylvania. The enemy in the Dobrudja have ceased to retreat, and have occupied a fortified line, abandoning Silistria. The Russians are bombarding Varna.
