DUE TO WAR ORDERS. ( Australian and FT.Z. Association (Rcc. Sept. 25, 9.45 am) NEW YORK, Sept. 24. There were the largest ■dealings on Wall Street since 1508 during a two hours' session on Saturday, when 994.000 shares in United States Steel were turned over. The day's gain in value was over £3,000.000. Prices for leather and copper greatly increased, the former owing to a report that Russia ■wants millions of shoes. There was the greatest sale of copper ever made. The Allies, through Morgan's, have ordered 448,000.000 pounds weight, worth 125 dollars, the price being 27 cents, to he delivered in monthly instalments from) the .beginning of January.
