' | A (resolution of sympathy with Mrs ■ McLaren on' the death of her busbandi | was p>atssed, the members standing. f It was resolved that Mrs Don's letter to the Moderate league should be published- in '■ the daily, papers as an advertisement. ,*.!«♦ A resolution was passed to the eitect that the next monthly meeting of the Union should' .be kept as "T. A. Taylor Day," and a collection made for the Belgian Fund, members to brir.ig either money or articles of clothing. Mrs Field- read a paragraph stating that two ladies in Adelaide had been mad© Justices of the Peace, and moved ? a ,resohvtion, "That the Nelson branch ' of the W-O.T.U. has much pleasure in conigratulatini'x Mrs Nicholls, Prudent of the Adelaide W.C.T.U:, on her appointment ais Justice of the Peace, and (hopes tibi.t she and- Mrs Pries may lonp be the only women J.'sP. n Aais- : traiasia."
