NATIONAL RESERVE
The National .Reserve held their weekly paTadie) last evening., when 80.men fell ,in, under Captain' Ohing and Lieutenant Watson. A route march was undertaken, during which, company movements were canried* out. Orii return to the .Drill Hall, I the oompanjy formed an sections, and were put through rifle exercise under the respective section commanders. STOKE PLATOON. Last night Lieutenant Hudson went out to Soke, where a plaitioon was formed to be attached to the Nelson Corps. There were 44 mew on parade, and. a. keen spirit was displayed*. AMBULANCE SECTION. The Ambulance section' paraded .at the Temperance Hall last evening-, 36 members being present. Three new members were enrolled'. The evening's work consisted of squad dlrdll under SergeantMajor Johnson, and. an addlress by Dr. Jeffreys on venereal diseases., On behalf of the Ambulance Corps, Dr. Jeffreys spokte a few words of farewell to a- departing memher of the Corps, Mt L. Finch, who has enlisted 1 for active service, and. proceeds to the North Island training 1 camp to-morrow, SOLDIERS' REST.
