PETROGRAD. Dec. 75. Owing tr> the massing of Austrian -forces vA the Carpathians, the Russians be compelled to retire somewhat to more suitable ground, affording ample freedom of movement. Ihe Russian success at Mlawa enabled the Hussians to resume the initiative in front and northward of Bzura. ' AMSTERDAM, Dec. 35. An official Vienna message states that the Austriarts in the Carpathians captured 9000 prisoners and ten machine iruns.
