AUSTRALIAN APPLES GERMANY.
A Bunyip orcliardist, Mr C. Pearson, last season shipped 25 cases of apples to Hamburg, Germany, as an experiment, and has received advice that they seld up to 13s 6d a case. The following account received by Mr Pearson should prove interesting to fruit growers: — Freight to port, 5s 3d; ocean freight, £3 16s 7d; insurance and exchange( 2s lOcl; agency 6s 3d ; dock, town carnage dues and market expenses, 12s 6d; commission, 16s 6d. leaving a net profit < f 8s 3d a case.
