COLD-STORAGE OF FRUIT.
EXPERIMENTS AT AUCKLAND. [United Pbess Association.] HASTINGS, Friday. The Inspector of Orchards to-day forwarded to Auckland 25 cases of locallygrown apples and pears for cool storage, and the Department has made a similar consignment from ?auh of the fruitgrowing centres with a view to prove the advantage? of cool storage. It is felt that the development in this direction should prove of financial b< uelit to fruit-grower* generally.
