A shipping agent, interviewed, strongly reiterated that the coal combine wonld have .a serious effect on. the ..New Zealand timber trade, the result of vessels being unable to load back with coal. He predicts an increase in the New Zealand timber freight up to 50 per ceilt., and expressed the hope that the New Zealand and Federal Government would probe the alleged combine to the bottom.
