LONDON, April 9. Thejßrusels newspaper " Independance Beige " says the Boer delegates in Europe ought to remember that the Boers who would accept British rule are the majority ; therefore it is unfair of the leaders to sacrifice thousands of families to their personal ambition. Many burghers at Pretoria hive taken the oath of allegiance, including Caspar Kruger, eldest son of the ex-President. Altogether 21 members of Kruger's family have sworn allegiance to Great Britain. Mr Gerald Balfour, President of the Board of Trade, speaking at Leeds, said that personally he was not sanguine of the result of the Boer leaders' consultations in South Africa. The terms of peace offered in March, 1901, regarding the future status of the Transvaal and the Orange Colony were still open.
