WELLINGTON, This Day.

In tbe Legislative Council, Mr R. Reeves gave notice to ask whether the Governors of Victoria College have arrived at a decision as to the site on which the College building is to be erected. Ihe Woodville County Bill was put through its final stages, and the Land for Settlements Bill was put through Committee as amended by Ihe Waste Lands Committee.

In the House questions were answered, after which a somewhat heated discussion arose out of a motion (talked out by the dinner adjournment^ regarding the working of the Conciliation Boards. In the eveniog the Statutes Compilation Bill (Major Steward) and the Miners' Rights Fee Reduction Bill (Mr R. McKenzie) were put through Committee -without amendment. The rest of the evening was spent in Committee on Mr Barclay's Shops and Shop Assistants Bill, progress being reported by 23 to 20.
