THE WEATHER STILL DULL AND WET.
I WELLINGTON, This Day. The weather is still dull and wet. . The wind has veered to the soath, and a misty rain is falling, with promise of worse to follow. The only public function to-day is the laying of the foundation stone of the railway offices, and at 4 p.m. the Royal party leave for Christchurch. At the dinner last night Sir J. G. Ward said that in order to let the visitors from v England and Australia see as mach as possible of the beauties of the colony the Government had arranged for a steamer excursion to the Otago Sounds. i .
