SPEECH BY GENERAL BULLER. [united tress association.] LONDON, June 19. At the Colonial Club's dinner at the Hotel Cecil 200 person, were present, including the Agents-General. 1 General Buller, who received a great i ovation, stated that recent events showed that Great Britain possessed a number of very strong, lusty, well-matured children who were prepared to help in eyery difficulty in which they thought her right by sending fine men, fine soldiers and gallant fellows. Imperial unity was a dangerous idea unless backed up solidlv. Sir J. A. Cockburn (Agent-General for South Australia) suggested that an emblem should be added to the Union Jack specially appealing to colonials, and reminding them of the part borne by the colonies in sending contingents to South J Africa. . j Lord Strathc^aa, the chairman, advo*.
