RECENT OPERATIONS.
A.N ATTEMPTED SURRENDER LONDON, June 20. The Boera have sentenced Commandant Piet Fomie to death for attempting to surrender, but De Wet commuted the sentence to imprisonment, THE REITZ FIGHT WITH DE WET. DESPERATION OF THE BOERS. LONDON, June 10. Particulars of the fighting at Keitz, in the Orange Eiver Colony, where MajorGeneral Elliott engaged De Wet on the 6th instant, show that the Boers, in a determined effort to recipture their conroy, charged right up to the mounted infantry.
