Hereditary Mental Weakness.
(.United Press Association. 1 * WEpNGTON, May 3. the name of the Ainberley murderer's father, if he ia a bootmaker in this distriot, is Sheen, not Sheehan. The latter says that his Bon was always characterised by a want of mental equilibrium. When about twelve years of age ho was committed to the Nelson Industrial School, from which he ran away, but shortly afterwards he was recommitted having in the interim been arrested for breaking and entering. He subsequently ran away several times from sohool, and latterly had been lost sight of completely by his relatives. His grandfather and his mother wera both deficient in mental balance. His mother left her home in a strange and unexpected manner when her son was between 12 and 14 years of age and instead of being dead, as her eon state, she is said to be alive and liviaij at Perth, West Australia, Tne aoousscft \ ' ■ ' .'' .
father has been a resident of tho Wellington district for over 30 years, and for a considerable time was in business in Wellington as a land and commission agent. Other members of his family are married and in good positions, and both lie and they feel their position keenly.
