THE QUESTION OF A NEW MAIN. At the meeting of the City Counoil last night a discussion arose on a recommendation from the Finance Committee that the pipes for the proposed new maju at the gasworks be ordered. Cr C. Harley said that precautions should be taken for the Oooncil to he in a position to pay for the pipes when they arrived.
