Victotian Railways.
[United Press Association.] Melbourne, September 24. The Commissioners fully conour in 'the decision of tho Railway Board that the railways must be worked on commercial principles quite apart from any political and Ministerial influence, and strongly resent the suggestion that political influenoe bad sway in connection with regard to administration. They, however, admit tbat with regard to matters of policy there has been Ministerial influence, wbioh bas certainly not been in tho direction of making the railways pay, but they deny that any mem : ber succeeded in preventing their doing their duty, or dealing with the offenoes of employes in other directions.
