Wellikoton, TD&ember 13. .7 ,7 At a meeting of the Sub-Committee of.the iv Wairarapa Relief Fund, the following reso-: 'fff lufaon was carried; — '^That after rplieying7 urgent cases of necessity, the. fundsTremain*-- : , ing should be allocated to and invested for and in the names of the widows, and orphans 7 and aged relatives of those drowned, and that since the Otago Committee have already 7 made provision for some of these oases, they f'f' be asked to give the Wellington Committee*, particulars of cases for which they have made: no provision." The following sums have *" been paid to survivors by the Wellington' Relief Fund :— John Austin, £10 j- John Madden, £10; G B Tuxworth, £10 ; Langley, £10 ; J Levisque, £10 ; D R Harris, £5 ; JB Harris £5. _ The following amounts have also been paid, which, with the amounts received by the same men in Auckland, brings the total to £10 each :— T Henderson £3 7s 3d ; T Clark, £3 5s 8d ; L M Roberts, £2 14s -- 2d ; W Brown, £2 15s lOd. The total paid by the Wellington Committee to date is £127 2s lid. The total funds in the hands of the Wellington Committee are £2087.
