Colonial Defence.
Adelaide, This Day.
In the Legislative Assembly the Colonial Treasurer stated that the Government would not contribute towards, the defence of Thursday Island until the Queensland Government agreed to assist in defraying the cost of protecting the Port Darwin cables. .
