To the motion for the second reading of the Registration Bill in the Houso ot Com. mons Sir Edward Clarke moved an amendment tbat the bill be rejected on the ground that it did not provide for redistribution, The amendment was lost on a division by 292 to 278 and the second reading was agreed to.
