rvu -a- Wellington, This Day. me Hinemoa returned from the Chatham Islands yesterday, having landed the new Res^ent Magistrate, Major Gasooigne. On the trip she experienoed a heavy gale <ja luesday, during whiqh a wave broke on board and did some damage. The vessel was hove to for eleven hours, The sealing ketoh Anna, owned by Capt. Bradshaw of the Bluff, called at the Chathama ten days ago with 130 seals caught at the Bounty Islands. More wreokage was washed ashore lately, inoluding a pine spar with wire rigging attaohed. °
