London, May 15. In the first innings of Mr Laverton's eleven Row made 19, Peel 20. Turner took four wickets for 80 runs, and Ferris six for 58, In their iirsb innings the Australians have lonti nine wickets for 6G runs. Lohmann and Briggs bowlei splendidly, the latter taking six wickets j after the recent rain the wicket was a difficult one for batsmen. The- Australians fielded badly, but the local team excellently.
