Lieut, Wiggins reports that under the most favorable circumstances ib would be impossible to reach the northern portion of Asia. Calcutta, October 9. Information has been received here that the Black Mountain expedition has occupied Chittabut, after a severe engagement, during which the enemy suffered a serious loss.
