This Examination is to commence on MONDAY, DECEMBER 6th, NEXT. /CANDIDATES must send iv to the Regis\*t trar of the University, Wellington, on or before MONDAY, November Bth (after which date no application will be received), a list of the subjects in which they deßire to be examined, signed with their Christian Name in Full, accompanied by a statement of their age last birthday, and the Fee of ONE GUINEA. Candidates must state whether they desire to Matriculate in Arts or in Science, or in both ; or if they wish to pass the medical Preliminary examination. Candidates for Junior Scholarships must state the School or Schools at which they have received tuition during the last five years. Eight Junior Scholarships will be offered at this examination. THE PUBLIC TRUST OF NEW ZEALAND, Its Objects. IThe Administration of Intestate Estates, and the realization and distribution of the • personal Estate. 2. The Executorship of the Wills of persons who may appoint the Public Trustee their Exectuor, and thus avoid the necessity which otherwise would exist of committing their friends to the responsibilites involved by such position. 3. The Administration of all kinds of Money Trusts, including Marriage Settlements and every kind of Fund, the trusts of which are definitely set forth in the Deed creating the said Trust. — ■- ' - Its Advantages. 1. The Public Trustee, in his corporate capacity, NEVER DIES, NEVER LEAVES THE COUNTRY, and NEVER BECOMES INCAPACITATED; thus, by his appointment, the expense of fresh appointments of Trustees consequent on death, change of abode, or mental or bodily infirmity, is altogether avoided. 2. All proposed investments are considered by a Board of Officers, ensuring careful consideration of all securities offered. 3. The Government of the Colony is responsible for the honest fulfilment of all trusts placed in the Office. Its Increasing Popularity.
