ST. LEON'S CIRCUS.
Despite the lowness of the temperature there was a large g? thering last night in the Circus tent, whicii was pitched in Mr G. Thompson's paddock at the rear of tlie Theatre. Of the equestrian feats, those which caused the greatest delight were thc performances of Gus Leon on the two ponies. The boy appeared to be quite at home in the most trying positions, and a thoroughly good understanding seemed to exist between him and his diminutive steeds, Miss Rosina too excelled in this particular line, ancl astonished the audience by the ease with whicii she danced a Highland fling and executed some very difficult tricks of juggling^ when travelling round the arena at a considerable speed. But the real treat oi: the evening was the tumbling of Messrs Scho, Moutgmorcncy, Sfc. Leon, and Jones. These were really marvellous performances and are beyond all description, but we would strongly recommend our readers not to lose tbe opportunity of seeing them, and can assure them that their delight will be as keen as was that of the crowds who last night so demonstratively expressed their approval of tbe difficult feats. There will be another performance this evening when we shall be surprised if the attendance is not larger even than it was last night.
