NEW RATES OF POSTAGE.
On and after Ist January, 1867, the postage chargeable on letters and newspapers, for places within New Zealand, Avill be at the following rates, viz.: — ToAvn Letters— Posted at any post-office within the colony, for delivery, at such post-office-No fc exceeding I oz Id. Over h oz but under 1 oz 2d. Every additional oz. or fraction of 0z. . . 2d. Country Letters— Posted at any post-office within the colony, for delivery at any other post-office within the same province — Not exceeding a oz 2d. Over A oz but under 1 oz 4d. Every additional oz or fraction of 0z. . . 4d. Interprovincial Letters— Posted at any post-office within the colony, for delivery at any post-office in any other province Avithin the colony — Not exceeding -J oz 3d, Over I oz but under 1 oz 6d! Every additional oz ov fraction of 0z. . . 6d. Newspapers— On all newspapers posted within the colony, for delivery Avithin the colony, Id. Tables of rates of foreign postage may be had at the Chief Post-office.
