In New South Wales, the last five months' yield of gold shows a decrease of nearly 25,000 ozs. on the corresponding period of last year. The customs revenue shows an increase of £96,000. This is attributable to the levying of increased duties. A return has been published in the Victorian Government Gazette, showing the number of persons who, iu the. month of v April last, arrived in and departed from the^ colony of Victoria by sea. The arrivals numbered 2,964,. and the departures 2,176, leaving a balance iii favor of the colony of .788. J
